Brethren, This year we have THREE scholarships to award to deserving students in our district, and the amount for each is $1,500. Please note the following key points: - These scholarships are for current seniors in high school bound for college after graduation. They are NOT for students who have already graduated from high school.
- Applications for these scholarships must include a copy of a recent transcript signed by the high school guidance counselor.
- Applications must also include a copy of the first page of the Student Aid Report (SAR) for 2024-2025. The SAR is obtained by filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA.)
- Applications must be received by the district scholarship committee (consisting of the District Deputy Grand Masters) by March 1st, so applicants should file the FAFSA as soon as possible.
- If the SAR is not available by the deadline for reasons beyond your control, please submit the application anyhow and include a note to that effect stating the circumstances.
- These scholarships are for students who live in the 19th District. Students living outside the 19th District may apply to the Scholarship Committee for the district in which they live. A list of the chairmen for all Ohio districts, the application form, and additional information can be found at: https://www.freemason.com/charities/scholarships/
If you have any questions, please contact your DDGM or me.
Best fraternal regards,
Fred Nickerson, PDDGM19th District Scholarship Chairman NickersonCPA@Windstream.net or 740-814-9196
